Both sets are PE rattan woven over a steel frame, and both have 4 inch seat cushions and a table with a glass top. What you are really choosing is size and arms. The 7 piece set covers 105.4 by 52.7 inches as pictured, and it has corner chairs but no side arms. The 8 piece set squares up to 108 by 108 inches, and it adds a left and a right arm chair with wide flat arms you can rest a plate on.

Every chair is a separate module that clips to the next. A U around the table is the obvious shape. A straight line along a wall, or an L plus two single chairs, works just as well on a narrow deck.

You will need a screwdriver and a few hours to build either one. The cushions are the part you will look after most: pale covers show dirt quickly, and owners say they wash them more often than they expected.
